Evoat11 04 – Vegas Hookers

Summary

After returning from the New Media Expo, we are joined by Twitter all-star Chuck Reynolds to hear his experiences with hookers in Vegas. No, really. That’s all we talked about. Chuck was here.

Choice Bits

  • Boobs hanging out doesn’t attract the younger guy? Chuck?
  • You. Hooker. Come here.
  • If it was cheap and she was really good…
  • I’m only going to pay for it if I can’t get it myself.
  • All my Vegas trips are similar.
  • ‘Tricks are for kids’ = ‘Hey bitch motherfucker let’s fight’.
  • Most of them look like hobbits.

Detailed Show Notes

The New Media Expo is a great place to learn.  I’m just not sure you’re supposed to learn the fine arts of chasing away hookers.  Yet that’s what Sheila and her merry band decided to do.

And that led to Chuck taking over the conversation.  He has not one, but two hooker stories from Vegas.  On the same trip nonetheless!  Complete with pimps.  Sweet!  (Good research for the Pimps & Hoes party we’re going to at Dragon*Con.)  Lesson learned.  Don’t trust your buddies when being accosted/propositioned by ladies of the night.  They will only encourage your poor behavior.

Debbie was in the Air Force and worked at the Pentagon.  Sadly, she never was asked to kill anyone or whatever it is they do in military intelligence.  She was there when the Air Florida Flight 90 crashed in ’82, which is every bit as depressing and pitiful as it sounds.

Oh, and howdy Dragon*Con listeners.  See you at the parties Friday and Saturday!  If you missed it, we had four kegs and seven hookers.

  1. This ep almost had me laughing off my bike. It’s great to have you back and I like the format. Not too long, so it’s easy to keep up with but plenty of time for stories.

I don’t have any Hooker stories. Well, just that one time in Philadelphia when an old, toothless, hooker came to the window of the car. Frightening, but that’s about it.

I was a in college in ’82 and my friend Laura was on that flight. She didn’t fly again until ’85 when we were seniors. There was plenty of opportunity, too, her father was a travel agent.

Anyway, Evo, Sheila, Debbie, looking forward to more!

  2. You do realize that you never really finished the “Evo and Sheila Scare Off the Vegas Hooker” story, right? You got to “the hooker was called to the table” and then segued away, never to return to it…

  3. What happens in Vegas…

  4. All Right! Evo is back on my MP3 player. I knew I was following his blog for a reason.
And, Yeah. You never finished the hooker story from Vegas. I need to hear how drunken geeks scare hookers.

  5. I LOVE that you guys are doing a podcast! So funny! Who knew Chuck was such an expert on the oldest profession ;)
